J. Lee Mann

November 3, 1914 to November 5, 1918

J. Lee Mann, son of former sheriff W.J. Mann, was born in Wise County in 1878. He married Miranda Gibbon of Gibtown. They had only one son, Dewy Mann.

He was elected sheriff on November 3, 1914, at the age of thirty-six. He was re-elected on November 7, 1916, and served until November 5, 1918.

Once his two terms were over, he and his family re-located to Atoka County, Oklahoma, where he worked as a deputy.

The Mann's were the first of two father and sons to serve as sheriff.
