WISE EYES,

Wise County Judge Bill McElhaney will be enacting an executive Commissioners Court order before lunch today, thus placing a BURN BAN over Wise County.  The recent weather conditions have made outdoor burning extremely dangerous.  Wise County has had a rash of grass fires in the past several days, keeping volunteer fire departments very busy.  The Executive Order will be in effect until the Wise County Commissioners Court can meet in regular session to place a longer ban on.

Todays weather forecast is for dry conditions, low humidity, and high winds.  This makes the conditions very dangerous, along with raising the potential for wildfires.

WISE COUNTY UNDER A BURN BAN EFFECTIVE today,,,,please report any outdoor burning to the Wise County Sheriff's Office or your local fire department.

David Walker, Sheriff
